Winter's Blood: A Werewolf Novella (Ch. 3)Winter's Blood: A Werewolf Novella (Ch. 3) by ~RisingPhoenix89
For minutes that felt like hours, I just stood there, staring off in the direction Abby had run with her last words ringing in my head. What had she meant by them? So much had happened so fast that I didn’t have any brainpower left to figure it out. Instead, my mind returned the more immediate issue and my hands moved automatically. My left hand went to the bite scars on my shoulder, while my right hand closed around my wolf wristband.
‘Werewolf,’ I thought as I ran my fingers over the teeth marks. ‘I’ve been bitten by a werewolf and that werewolf was Abigail.’
It didn’t make sense. Sure, I’d accepted the fact that it was all real, but it didn’t make sense. It felt like my life had been some sort of extended movie, and then when the car crash had knocked me out, I’d missed some absolutely critical plot twist. And yet as hard as I tried, I just couldn’t figure out what it was. It was unimaginably frustrating, an

Then torn apart by the truth;
One who was so angelic
Now a demon in front of you.
It all seems so new and horrid
A fresh scar in your mind;
But you're here in his embrace
Safe from that who harms.
Hatred does not fill your heart
It is filled with sorrow and grief.
All the pain is eased though
By the love you both share.
Though the memory will never leave
Always there before your eyes.
A veil hides your nightmare,
So you may enjoy the moment at hand.

A deep conflict can cause many things to happen. Even to a family. But the worst thing it could possibly do is that it could even drive a great and mighty group or pack to separate. As one wants one thing and the other wants another. It can give us reason enough to go insane and rip each other apart. But that is not what happened to us. No something else happened.
“That’s bullshit! You’re not doing it!” I yell at Aeden who stood there tall and with a stubborn look on his face peering at me like I was an idiot as I growl with front paws lowered and back bristling. “I am and so is dad and any others who want to come with us.” He says with a deep pride in his voice. “Come now, this is insane, we can’t risk losing any other members of the pack. We have small numbers as it is. What if any of you die. I just can’t even think of the fact. Especially you or your father Aeden. If something were to happen and either one of you were to

What’s, was the scariest moment in your life. A friend jump from behind a tree and make you fall flat on your rump? Were you attacked by a stranger, with unknown intentions? Has someone trapped you in a corner, with a lustful look on their face? Very personally if I were to be asked this question right now. I would say, it was that first night.
We were running, and it was dark, mothers sudden screams of unconscious fear still echoing in my head. It had scared me to death to wake up to that, and then she immediately hugged me tighter than she has ever hugged even my father likely. And she immediately shot up and ordered us to pursue my father, my mother is not the most believing person in the matter of long journeys or war. But this, even she wouldn’t wake in the middle of a night in a cold sweat about this. Call me superstitious, but it just didn’t feel right, it felt like a sign that something very bad was going to happen. So I dispatched quickly with my sister
