Rowen's Story (Ch.3)It had taken Rowen and Bryce a good hour and a half to reach their destination along the Shield Pack's outermost border. When they had arrived, Rowen realized that he was not acquainted with the area as well as he had previously assumed. The topography was very similar to his home, but he feared that Angelo having taken the trouble to assign the new border guards to areas near their homes may have been in vain. At least in his case. Rowen had certainly been to the border several times before during desperate hunting runs, but not enough to the extent that he would have retained intimate knowledge of his surroundings.Rowen's Story (Ch.3) by ZergSwarms
Nevertheless, the black-furred male made a point to memorize and scan his surroundings. He made note of trees that were unique, odd rocks, water holes, and many other natural architecture that would make navigation easier for him in the future. It was certainly a productive use of his time. Much more so than paying attention to Bryce's ramblings, complaints, and generally
Crooked Feather's Revolt It was cold out, and the snow was unbearable. The wind was howling, like the wolves who howled to praise the moon. The trees in the forest were covered with so much snow, it was hard to tell if it was a tree or not. The mountains in the distance were barely visable. Next to the mountains was a snowy valley, that was home to a wolf pack that was notorious to the other packs nearby. They were not just notorious to other packs, but to their own members. Their alpha was the most intimidating wolf that had ever walked the Earth. His yellow eyes helped him look into any wolf's soul with one look and instantly kill the onlooker. His black fur was as dark as the night and helped him sneak on his victims. I remember a long time ago, a young naive wolf wanted to take over to be the next alpha. The young wolf challenged him, and the alpha killed the young wolf with no mercy and killed him him with one bite. Ever since then, he has obtained the nickname 'DeatCrooked Feather's Revolt by Foxhound15
